Palo Macho (b. 1965) is a glass artist, who in addition to his work, dedicated almost 14 years to cooperation with Slovak artists from different disciplines of art, which resulted in a remarkable works of arts produced by the two authors.
The uniqueness of Palo Macho´s collaboration with other artists is that they are always trying to find conjunctions between its own artistic program and author´s styles of those artists with whom he cooperates.
Any such “partnership” is based on other principles and rules, whereas the essential fact is that the created works are interesting for its internal coherence and fullness of meaning. The resulting work never appear as motley despite the fact the cooperation with sculptors and photographers and the presence of both artists is clearly identifiable in the work creation.
Works currently exhibited in Zoya Museum in ELESKO Wine Park in Modra are chosen from collaborations of Palo Macho with sculptor Joseph Jankovic, a photographer Jana Hojstričová, painters Rudolf Filo, Ivan Csudai and Laco Teren. Conceptual artists Svatopluk Mikyta and last but not least the Slovak modern author Ľudovít Fulla, who was inspired by motifs and fragments of his images.
The exhibition will be open to the general public from March 8 to June 18, 2017th
